In simple terms, conveyancing is the legal process of transferring the title/ownership of a property from one person to another, following the sale of a property. Our job is to ensure you meet all of the legal obligations required as part of that process whether you are a buyer or a seller.
The short answer is “not much” in terms of conveyancing. Both a conveyancer and a lawyer are qualified to assist with the legal process of transferring property.
Some lawyers specialise in different areas of law and may not be able to look after your conveyancing needs. At Donna Fuchs Conveyancing, we strive on the fact that we are your local conveyancing experts and that you can have the confidence and comfort that you are well looked after throughout the entire conveyancing process from start to finish.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we are upfront and transparent about our fee structure. Our pricing is competitive and we structure our fees as being inclusive of GST and disbursements. There are only a few disbursements that are not included in the conveyancing transaction but we will tell you this upfront so you are aware of these costs from the beginning. Most other conveyancing/law firms have GST and disbursements in addition to their professional costs. Don’t get caught out with this.
At Donna Fuchs, we have over 30 plus years of experience working exclusively as a conveyancing practice. We offer complimentary contract reviews and are available to our clients 7 days a week (as we know how busy you can be during working hours).
As your local experts, there is nothing that we haven’t seen before so you get comfort that you are being looked after by the best.
When selling, you will need to engage a conveyancer to prepare the relevant contract for marketing purposes. We would suggest that you do this at the same time you engage an agent.
When purchasing, we recommend that you engage a conveyancer as early as possible. The conveyancer’s job is to ensure that they are on your team to support you through the complexities of the property journey. In particular, you should always ensure that a Conveyancer or Lawyer look at your contract before you commit on the dotted line.
Absolutely! We understand that the process of buying or selling doesn’t always work on a 9-5 schedule, Monday to Friday. We are proud of the fact that our team is dedicated and we are always available to support our clients whenever they need us (weekends and all).
